Hey guys,

Online BF calsulators put me at 20% BF, but they dont take into account the size of my chest and shoulders and guns so i think that might be high. What do you think? I need to know for a recomp, people need ot know my BF to give me accurate recomp plans. 6ft, 208lbs

I'm going with 20-22% but you may be more defined, pics came a bit blurry.

What snake said, 20-22%. I highly doubt you're under 20.

15 to 15 1/2%

Above 16 to 16 1/2, you won't see abs or serratus interior.

You guys realize 25% is considered obese in males. Duff you're far from obese

Here's something I always fall back on in these discussions.

Now it's not the same guy and the body types are different but it's a good reference.

The good part is for McDuff, he's headed in the right direction just by being here.

Snake - I think those are good estimates except for 20%. That dude looks like he is carrying similar fat to 15% (16-17%) except he use to be fat and has excess skin.... and is pale

I also agree on the 20% being off in that set.

I think what has thrown people off on the OP's pics is water retention. It gives a softer look. Just a guess though.

Perhaps on the legs, pumped up for the pic? A pumped leg doesn't look as good and cut as an unpumped leg unless BF% is low.

I've used pics before to help judge BF% but the pics should be of the same muscularity as the person being judged.

I'm really making the guesses from what I have looked like around 15% or a little higher with water, without water, pumped and not pumped.

I also have trouble seeing my veins in my teardrops and across my quads pumped at 15 to 16%

Who cares what your body fat is as long as you're seeing the results you want. Keep working hard and you'll be fine.

I want to know my BF% to help me calculate my Macros, I don't know anything about Macros and dieting and stuff and i'm trying to learn for a recomp.

One of the trainers at your gym should be more then happy to calculate your BF% or at least give you a close estimate. After that you can calculate your BMI and go from there with your goals.

Guessing body fat on the op is difficult because he carries his abdominal fat deeper than we usually see. Judging by his legs 20% could be accurate.

Have you been over weight in the past?

That can throw it off as well, including the legs.

Quite possible. I figure the legs were pumped and holding water. Being overweight in the past could also be the culprit because of the skin being stretched.
