Another cardio??

So I'm at a stand still with dropping weight.. I was doing cardio ed after lifting for 25 min on eliptical walking at a incline at a steady pace.. now need to take to next level.. wht would u consider the next step.. would u run? Or do cardio in a.m. like was doing.. mayb do more stairmaster.. I'm open to suggestions.. thx

Have you tried HIIT? HIIT always gets me past humps

Na am always worried going to lose muscle size running hard.. thts y I kept it at walking on treadmill and stairmaster.. this is wht manny set up for me.. but I've dropped about 12pds and now scale doesn't move.. I need about 15 gone by nov 1..

intervals is excellent and does not "burn" muscle..its made the difference in my appearance the last two months

HIIT doesn't just have to be running.

We do routines of things like 3 minutes of alternating dumbell bench press, one arm rows & pullovers - sets of 10 - get in as many as you can, then 1.5 minutes of skipping, 1.5 minutes of star jumps, 1.5 minutes of jumping squats (not holding any weight) then 1.5 minutes of pushup thrusters, 1.5 minutes of pushup star jumps, 1.5 minutes of mountain climbers - all with short interval rests of like 10-15 seconds between, and i can tell you im totally buggered after that. Then a 3 minute rest and repeat x 2.

At the end you will be completely cardio'ed out.

I don't have much to burn off, missing one meal I'll drop a pound easy. Cardio just eats me up unless I am running moderate to heavy doses of gear.

time variations change but I always either jog..then sprint or run...then sprint

example: speed at 6.5 then bump up to 9.5 and higher...I never go from a sprint to walking...to much of a difference

I do 5 min warm up, 30 second sprints, 90 second moderate pace. I do 10 intervals that way. HIIT does not burn muscle bro. Steady state is when you start losing muscle.

So try like 3.5 for 30 secs then like 5.0 for 90 secs doing this for 10 sets or just do for 20 min or so.. guess I was doing intervals at 2.7 and jogging at 4.7.. but just started tht yest.. and the stair master for 10min

I skip rope and like to do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
10 min warmup
14 mins HIIT - 20 seconds sprinting 40 seconds bounce jump or rest
look up Tabata Protocol

Look at the difference between a sprinter and a marathon runner. Sprinters train with short bursts of intensity.

walk for 2min.

repeat 12-18x

I'm not much of a runner but I'm ready to get it on the next level.. need to really cut this weight off by nov 1..

I do mine on elliptical. 5 min warm up, 60 second moderate, 30 seconds balls to the wall, repeat 10-12 times, 5 min cooldown.
