with so many apps/websites out there, and just getting started on working out and dieting.... is there a good place that i can log my food intake that will give me the data i want to track?
I use MyNetDiary. I love it. I tried my fitness pal did not like it as much as MyNetDiary. You set your calories, macros and plug away. So easy in my opinion.
With myfitnesspal (which is what I use), be aware that a lot of the info already entered (Calories, protein, etc) about the foods listed is badly wrong. You have to double check it before you rely on it.
I tried using the apps. I find it easier to use google sheets. I’m all about the spreadsheets so I set it up nicely where I can easily enter macros quickly on the go or refer back to a previous meal and copy, paste into a new day. Also, round up.. getting too into the details can give you a bit of paralysis by analysis.
I like MyFitnessPal because the database, though user edited, is pretty large. You have to double check the macros once you add a food item because some will only have calories associated. I also like that its a phone app and a webpage so I have lots of ways to access it.
And I don't have a subscription and see all my macros.
