So today was leg day, and so I said “It’s offseason, let’s eat today, and I mean really eat.”

So after I had my post workout shake with peanut butter, milk, honey, a whole banana and two scoops of whey I proceeded to have Portillos for lunch. An Italian Beef, Maxwell Street Polish and small fry. Then after that stopped by Andy’s Frozen custard and had a Heath bar Concrete mixer with almonds and caramel. Then for dinner a big steak burrito from our local Mexican place and a couple pork tacos. My strength has been increasing like crazy this off-season cause I’m eating like never before and I am enjoying the results with my lifts. I weighed myself today and I’m averaging 1 pound per week of weight gain so the extra food definitely isn’t hurting me.

List your own massive cheat days or meals here in this thread.

My cheat day was actually today. Had 2 McDonald’s big breakfasts with hotcakes, 32oz orange juice, 2 sausage cheese McGriddles, bowl of cookie crisps with 2scoops protein iso
Lunch I had chicken Philly with a large fry and a cookies and cream milk shake.
Went to watch the new Spider man and had a large cherry icee, large popcorn, m&ms, and a hot dog.
Dinner had half a x large pepperoni pizza, the rest of my daughters chicken nugget kids meal from chick fil a, half a gallon of unicorn ice cream, half a gallon of skim milk, and I’m currently munching on ruffles cheddar and sour cream chips, half a dozen donuts and twizzlers, with a protein shake. This will be every 3-5 days

It’s just what I’ve always done. I’ve never had it negatively affect me. I’ve never had it negatively effect a fat loss phase. I also enjoy eating and have always had a huge appetite

Why.
The rest of my week is fruit as my only carb source, egg whites, isolate protein, nuts and evoo. I might throw in 4 triple 0 Greek yogurts as a protein and carb source, or some chicken breast or fish. But that’s basically it.

Haven't had a FULL cheat day for a while. After one, it's just depressing seeing the set back and bloat. Not really worth it as I started fitness to be as healthy and look the best as possible. My last cheat meal was homemade authentic ramen and a bowl of fruity pebbles lol.

How set back do you really think one day of overeating will make you?
Acid reflux lol
not at all. If I really want something I’m not going to feel guilty about. I gauge it by performance and if my weight is dropping too fast. I’ll have a “cheat day” then after my weight drops 2lbs after I reach what it was before my “cheat day” I’ll have another. It’s also not only based on the scale but body composition. This is usually every 3-5days sometimes 7. If I ate like shit every day I’d have digestive issues with a day here and there I don’t have any.
I wouldn’t recommend other people do what I do, but I always have people start out with a few hour window every 7 days and go from there. I don’t do this when I’m in a consistent caloric surplus but in a deficit it’s what works for me and makes dieting easy.
I don’t believe in making anything harder than is necessary.

No, I shouldn’t speak for everyone, just listing my personal thoughts.
I mean I see your point and I was jk for the most part. I’d notice the same actually. Weight would be up and then I’d hit a new low. Definitely has metabolism boosting benefits, Just the after effects kind of suck such as spilling over . Maybe I ought to incorporate them again . My metabolism is iffy these days.

Would not do them on a bulk either

The menu you posted seems excessive to the point of pathology. I'm absolutely NOT trying to make any armchair diagnoses, but I think it's worth pointing out that eating disorders are relatively common within this community, and that they often manifest in binge/purge cycles that look a whole lot like the diet you described.

At the end of the day, you know far better than I if the diet model you employ is healthy and/or sustainable, I just don't want any impressionable newbs thinking that this sort of thing is (or should be) the norm.

Which is why I also posted “I wouldn’t recommend other people do what I do.” It’s not a planned “diet” I base those days off of how my body responds.it’s not a “menu” it’s what I wanted to eat. I also don’t do it year round. Its what I can get away with while in a deficit. purging is making oneself vomit or taking laxatives in order to get rid of excess calories. It’s not a binge purge cycle. Im not eating until I make myself sick or feeling guilty about it. Ive also been able to bring up certain body parts in a pretty deep deficit doing it. If someone noob or otherwise reads that and thinks it’s the norm or should be they’re an idiot. Nowhere did I indicate it was advice. Im extremely open and honest about what I do. If someone reads that and thinks “hey, I don’t have to eat “clean and bland” all the time, or have to do restrictive unsustainable dieting in order to lose fat or weight then I’m all for it.
I’ve had one “cheat day” where it was a couple of meals post leg workout and i had a box of cocoa pebbles and 4scoops iso protein in water.
Then another meal that was 20 bbq wings and an order of fries and 6 donuts
What I posted was one day where My weight dropped 5lbs in less than a week. I gauge it by how I feel and my bodies feed back.
There’s a lot more to take away if someone wanted to beyond what I decided to eat for 1 day.

One day in the off season is nothing to worry about. So how many cals more than a normal day do you think you added?

I don't really do a cheat day in the off season since I just eat what I need. If there's cheese cake, I'll do it. Not scared of a bag of chips either.

If I had your cheat day, it would be followed by two days in the bathroom.

A cheat meal is fine for me. Gets rid of my cravings and reminds me how shi$tty I feel when I eat sh$tty food.

Decided personally not to give af this off-season and really focus on breaking PR’s. I know if I keep getting stronger I will grow more and look my best ever when I begin cutting in a couple months. The only way I can do this is by eating as much as possible which hits the same numbers on a consistent basis.

I broke another PR today.
