The other night I made tacos and I see my wife putting plain Greek yogurt on her taco.

I ask her what she’s doing? This is a taco, not a gyro. She told me it’s just like putting on sour cream.

So today I ate some potato chips and dipped them in plain Greek yogurt.

Damn she was right.

So why the fuck do people choose to guilt themselves with pure fatty cream rather than getting extra protein, for the same taste?

What a good food hack

They are both extremely similar sour cream will be thicker. Sour cream also has way more calories so depending on diet. They're considered interchangeable when used as dips or salad dressing or toppings. If you plan using yogurt in a dish that must be heated there are some modifications that need to be done.

Well, unless if you want to be fat or don’t mind being fat. Sour cream is dumb

you eat chips and draw the line at sour cream.
You dip chips in Greek yogurt and the macros are pretty much 1/1/1

And I only eat chips made with olive/Avacado oil. Or sometimes bake them myself

None of that canola oil shit

I restrict myself to 2,000 calories per day. In order to get the requisite 175-200 grams of protein I feel I require, I could not eat sour cream. It would use up an excessive share of my allotment of calories.

Duh. But the difference in macros and calories per serving is completely lopsided

Fuck sour cream
if your response is "duh" then why say it's going to make you fat. Macros are only lopsided if the rest of your daily diet itself isn't balanced.

To be clear, I don't care if people use yogurt or sour cream. Only commenting on the notion that sour cream is somehow going to turn a person into a fat fuck on its own.

I do this as well with Greek Yogurt. I wish I had discovered it sooner than 3 months ago.
