Did they talk about what the ideal macros are for a normal human being?

Did it follow the same out-of-date FDA nutrition recommendations of 50g fat, 50g protein, 450g carbs every day? You know, the one that was based on a study where like 9 of the researchers had a vested interest in General Mills?

They talked about "diets" generally (high protein, keto, vegan, etc) and potential vitamin deficiencies.

The professor was good. Came from England so wasn't indoctrinated with all nonsense you mentioned. Never once did he say what he thought people should eat.

But still it was very basic. Like, what happens after you eat (insulin etc) vs overnight fasting (glucagon & gluconeogenesis).

I don't want to compromise any muscle loss and I believe If I built this gut I can lose this gut...it's called sweat and discipline.
Why would people using it lose muscle?

Its just a tool, like any other, that can be used well or abused. I would think if people use it to reduce hunger, feel full longer and reduce cravings for sweet and salty, but ate a sensible diet and continued strength training, they could retain much of their muscle.

It seems this stuff gets more blowback than DNP.

My guess is due to undereating, especially protein.

I doubt that that would apply to people like us, who train hard and pay attention to protein intake.

Plus, I'd be willing to bet that anabolics use would overpower any catabolic worries that one might have.

Bro, these people aren't weight training. Most of the people taking these drugs don't exercise at all. Probably why they are obese and developed diabetes, eh?

They lose muscle bc they end up protein deficient and arent lifting.

Think of semaglutide as a long term crash diet. The body goes into starvation mode. Preferentially holding fat while sacrificing muscle to reduce caloric demand.

The people Ive talked to that do it properly say they have to force feed protein.

So the post I quoted seemed to say (and if I misunderstood my bad) that use of this stuff pretty much mandates muscle loss regardless. My question was, if someone does some lifting and eats properly, can't they use this stuff and lose at least less muscle? I suspect muscle can be retained while using it.

I get it that if you eat very badly and don't life muscle will be lost. I'm guilty of that myself fairly recently.

my wife uses it

(she doesn't lift or do cardio but walks 2 miles a day)

shes used it 3 times now all together

pretty weird how fast it works

but it melts her physique

titts get saggy & ass gets flat

with no change in diet or exercise

sex drive dramatically lowered

pussy is bone dry & makes her bitchy

she likes it

I dont like the looks of it and dont recommend it
Does her tits and ass bounce back…my gf is on it and I notice her boobs are getting smaller and not as perky.

I heard a guy on Saladino’s podcast recently talking about how he thought it would be recalled. But I think there’s way too much money in it for that. Plus, it’s abundantly clear that neither big pharma, the fda, or the medical community give a frenchman’s fuck whether or not something is actually dangerous.
True, but that's only if they can make money on it. :)

My wife plans on using it to kick start her motivation to get back into the good habits she had when she was working out consistently. She tried getting back a year or so ago, and got discouraged due to less progress than when she started the first time 7-8 years ago. I can kind understand. It can be discouraging when your not seeing results. I am concerned of her long-term health but, she's also not a fan of some of the things I'm doing that are similar.. But doesnt stop me.

Attia has said that people “can” keep muscle on so long as they prioritize high protein and lift hard. But apparently its very hard to get people to do this.

To me, why not just go into a planned calorie deficit and leave out the weird drugs?

I believe the majority of the population gets overwhelmed with the thought of tracking macros.
Fact is the option of take this drug and eat what the hell u want is the gadgetry most search for.
