He wants by Xmas, so 3 weeks. Even more silly.
If he does the PSMF suggested by eazy, and burns 300 calories a day on top of it, then he might be able to burn 15lbs in 3 weeks.

He's going to be miserable though. While the weight will drop from all over... he might actually notice a reduction in his mid section with the approach... but no telling how noticeable it would be with clothes on.

Personally dropping calories that low isn't for me. I'd be waking up in the middle of the night, pacing back and forth from hunger pangs. 🥺

Not everyone can do what eazy does. It's hard AF.

We used to do a competion at my local gym along the lines of that show "The Biggest Loser". We got into teams of 10 and whoever lost the most weight in totality got a vacation to Vegas.

It ran for exactly one month. Best I did was a 14lb loss. I started out at 210. It sucked. No sugar, no carbs, just protein and vegetables. Did cardio daily and weights but at a reduced load due to barely any energy. After it was over all my weight went right back on. Never do that again.

You have to get extreme if you want to shed 20lbs in 30 days. It will suck, but you can do it if you're a masochist and dont mind being hungry all the damn time. And losing the majority of your muscle. And then you will look skinny fat for the holidays. Nice!

If your maintenance is 3 k, 2 k seems Kim of drastic. Once progress slows you won’t have much room to work with.

I like the slow approach. 100 cals a week. If you lose at 2900 why even go to 2800. When progress slows, then drop another 100 and so on.

Just my opinion, crash dieting never ended well for me. Mostly muscle was lost and hardly any body fat in my case.

I would drop by more than 100kcal in a day but crash dieting just doesn't work. It's a short-term fix with a monstrous rebound afterwards.

It's not that losing a lot of weight is crazy, it's that doing it in the next 23 days is unrealistic.

You could lose 1-2 lbs per week for the next 3+ months, with a much highly likelihood that it will stay off

I sent you the book, you should read it and implement it even if you don't cut the calories as low as I am willing to.
