Its good to see you guys again. I like the fact that this place will only be open to guys with some experience in the community. Keeps things tight knit!!

Hello my friends! I have been absent here a couple weeks. PC is crashed and have not had time to rectify. Was told I need a shoulder replacement
by the shoulder replacement salesman("joint and bone specialist"). Yeah right. Told me my wt training days are over. I'll be checking in as I can.
Should be back on line soon. Great to see all the old names here . All have a great day and week. T

Hate to hear that, T. I don't think I've known anyone to have shoulder replacement, or even have heard of it. Hope you'll hang out on the board when you can, your a great guy to have around !

Soon as I get my home pc squared up I'll be here daily. You know good and well i'm at the same location you are- stuck in the 70's.

    Hey Turbo!
Crazy about the shoulder replacement. That is EXACTLY what my ortho doc told me. He said everything they can do has been done and the only option left for me would be a shoulder replacement. After that is done, he said my heavy weight days in the gym would be over. **** that. That was 3 years ago and i am still going to the gym. I have made some modifications with what I do, but I am still in the weight room training hard. I would say the biggest change I have made is I do not do any heavy overhead presses anymore. Too much popping and grinding in there. I do a lot of flyes instead

Hang tough and avoid that shoulder replacement for as long as you can. Maybe we can start a "**** shoulder replacements" thread. I do want to start a training thread too.

Good to see the gang here too!

Hey Ty Hey brick. I am typing this on a "gym" pc. Brick you made my day. I just had a smooth light but intense back w/o. Everything happens for a reason.
God put me eye to eye with a joint replacement salesman to wake me the **** up. Been through many injuries over the last 34 yrs training.
All I can say to that doc is watch me now mother****er! Be back online soon. Need my brothers here at the ug!. Thanks, T

Shoulders are tricky things man. Glad to hear that you both can avoid the knife and still keep the physique you want. I guess I've been lucky with my shoulders over the years. I use to get pain and problems all the time when I was younger and just quit free weight benching about 20 years ago. I don't know if that made the difference, but my shoulders haven't been an issue. I do light smith machine bench when I do.

Ty - great to see you back my friend !
