I need to write a 15 page scientific research paper on any subject I want. I was hoping for some ideas...It needs to be very formal using legitimate sources like pubmed and I need to create my own scientific experimental research question to write about on the subject...problem is picking something that has enough info. out there to write a paper on...any interesting ideas?

I was thinking of looking into follistatin, myostatin inhibitors and their effects on muscle hypertrophy and potential theraputic benefits for muscle wasting diseases

- deprenyl?
- NAC and liver protection?
- TUDCA and liver protection?
- Something to do with exericise and longevity? types of training?
- maybe something to do with some specific hormones and their benefits for longevity?

Sounds fun man. I love shit like this. What degree of study if you don't mind me asking?
My buddy did a lot of work with IGF for his masters. Maybe you'd get a lot out of it too.

I think there's a research on NAC for acetaminophen over dosing, but don't hold me to that.

On hormones and their benefits for longevity, look at some TRT research. It's still new by medical standards so the effects long term are still slightly unknown.

Good luck and I wouldn't mind seeing your final.

Yeah the important part is picking a topic that's actually interesting, otherwise it's not fun at all! I'm in the allied health science program, it's geared towards PA, Pharmacy, Medschool, or dental school. IGF is cool, problem is I could be way in over my depth because I don't know what research is already available for sourcing and how complicated some of these topics can go..I imagine igf gets very complicated with the endocrinology pathways etc...lol. I may make it more simple...like how proper use of certain aas is not detrimental to ones health and may improve longevity

Would medicines be a good topic? For example you can analyze controversial stuff like what your opinion is on how they developed the drug. Viagra was originally for blood pressure I think and they did a blind study. They accidentally figured out who was in the control group and who was in the experimental group based on reported side effects (hard winky whackers, etc.) and decided to cancel the experiment for blood pressure and make a new experiment with the same drug for getting that "funk back to yo junk"

Edit: just read the rest of your post and the other posts. Dunno if my original post still applies.

How about "Effects of GH administration on lypolysis?" Or Effects of GH administration on hypertrophy?
