Yup people in rural areas have concerns, people in cities have concerns. The concerns are different but all valid. People who intend to commit a violent crime with a firearm have never been deterred by laws prohibiting carrying firearms in public. The only people who followed those laws were honest law abiding people, who were rendered unarmed victims unable to defend themselves.

oh yeah man , our town has 46 people , there is no cops , no fire dept. You can call the stateys or the warden but your gonna wait at least 20 min to an hour so you are your own 911 , need to be able to handle your own at least until they get here.

Only once in the over 30 years living around this area. Woke up one morning to all the loose change and some cassettes missing from my truck ,, yeah this was a while ago , hah cassettes.

That's funny, but if it brings to visibility to the huge potential for government over reach that will occur with project 2025 if he wins then I'm all for it.

Project 2025 is the boggy man the Democrats trotted out to distract from the disastrous Biden record. I didn't read it and don't have time to, and I don't plan to let the Democrats tell me what it says because they will make it up, super-spin it, whatever. I have seen their ads where Trump statements are taken completely out of context. Besides, I know what Trump will do if he wins because it will be pretty much the same thing he did before.

I'm voting more for a philosophy of government than a person. I just think more conservative principles, lower taxes, less regulation, less government spending (both sides need to work on that one), secure borders and such result in better economic conditions.

I have two choices. Neither was close to my first choice, but these are the choices I have.

Then Vance takes over and fully implements his martial law idea and 2025

Regarding SCOTUS nominees, they did it because Harry Reed did it for lower level judges and then when Trump got his turn to nominate SC justices, the Dems put a hold, a practice Republican Senators never engaged in when it was a Democrat nominee.

But the filibuster is in jeopardy. Harris has said she'll support nuking it to pass a national abortion rights law, and she says that is sufficiently important to bypass the filibuster. I presume, however, she would not agree that passing a national abortion ban is sufficiently important to bypass the filibuster. Now, there is some support for a national abortion law on the GOP side, but the Dems will filibuster it and Trump has said over and over that he will not sign a national abortion ban.

And of course, if a national abortion law is important enough to bypass the filibuster, why not a national gun law? Or a new liberal immigration law? Soooo many important issues...

So switching the post topic to abortion a bit, there is nothing Harris can do about it, at least for the next two years. There is no doubt the GOP will take control of the US Senate, and they are not going to give her a national abortion law.

Harris is clearly on video advocating for a "mandatory gun buyback" which is confiscation, less than four years ago. I don't believe she owns a gun. The report is she owns a Glock, which probably means a full capacity magazine. That would make her quite the hypocrite given she also advocated banning "high capacity magazines."

And let's see some video of her shooting the Glock. Give her the broad side of a barn to shoot at. She'll miss.
