One blatant example from the past year would be Ron DeSantis' battle against pro Palestine student groups on Florida campuses.
You mean the protests that were interfearing with the rights of other students?

I wish everyone could agree that all politicians are puppets. Not one cares for you and are all traitors/sellouts

or at the very least, agree that elections are rigged

Democrats claimed 2016 was rigged with the help of Russia

Republicans claimed 2020 was rigged

You should all be able to agree that voting is fake and even if it were real, you are left with the choice of 2 puppets who are just different wings of the same bird.

Everyone should team up and hate these politicians guts but people have been so far brainwashed that they treat politics like sports and will stand by their team matter what. Instead people have turned against each other and are blind to the real enemy

I love how they both keep coming up with ways to help the little guy now and draw in more voters, like eliminating taxes on tips, 1st responders.

Like wtf y'all never talk about this shit until the election is down to the wire and you both have a good chance to lose.

Now all of a sudden they are acting like they want to help people.

The vast majority of politicians are local officials. The people on your city/town council, your school board, your sheriff, and even your state legislature. Maybe your local judges (which I oppose electing). The vast majority of these people are not wealthy, and are not dishonest. Most have day jobs and being an official is on top of that. Few benefit personally from the extra time. They are people who think they can make things better. Sure, they sometimes get carried away and sometimes can be arrogant. But I have known many politicians, Democrat and Republican, at local and state level, and also three Congressional Reps and one US Senator. Only a few of these people were horrible human beings (one of them was one of the Congressional Reps).

Are they all perfect public servants? No of course not. Most have big egos. Some are smarter or dumber than others. Some are willing to take short cuts because they think they are smarter than the rest pf us and know better. Some are ends justify the means types and they causes issue for sure. But most are not any of this.

or at the very least, agree that elections are rigged
No, they are not.

The word "rigged" is used in so many different ways that it's impossible to discuss this in detail without a specific definition of "rigged."

You should all be able to agree that voting is fake and even if it were real, you are left with the choice of 2 puppets who are just different wings of the same bird.

Voting is not "fake."

Most of the issues that impact your life are at the local level. If you have kids, look toward the school board. The city council runs the police and fire departments, the local highway department, trash collection, the local parks, the zoning and planning commissions that control development and business development.

Everyone should team up and hate these politicians guts but people have been so far brainwashed that they treat politics like sports and will stand by their team matter what. Instead people have turned against each other and are blind to the real enemy

There are absolutely some dishonest, self serving and/or condescending politicians who don't belong in office. Absolutely. They are in the minority of all politicians. Combine these few asses with a media that survives by sensationalizing everything, and you make people extremely cynical. Toss in social media and you have all the makings of the environment we're now in.

I'm gonna regret this post for sure, but I took the time to type it so here goes...

Not sure if you’re joking or not but I get that a lot and it’s one of the most troubling things for me. Trump supporters usually call me a democrat when I state this. Even though I’m probably more right wing than they are.

I used to be a fan of Trump but he never drained a single drop of the swamp and since 2016, the swamp is only bigger. How many Republicans did he endorse that claimed 2020 wasn’t rigged? (A lot!) why does he continue to endorse the swamp for re-election? Arent these people complicit with fraud?

Trump supporters tell me it’s him listening to his dumb advisors. Is Trump really that stupid or is he a puppet playing as the opposition ?

Why does he trust the same secret service that protects Biden/Obama/Bush to protect him? (Those assignation attempts staged)

Why is his daughter Ivanka a World Economic Forum young global leader and why hasn’t he ever condemned the WEF?

Why did he continuously endorse the 0% effective vaccine?

Why would the FBI help trump in 2016 to get elected by investigating Hilary a week before the election (the swamp wanted him to win)

I’m pretty sure Trump is playing the role of controlled opposition. He is the most important puppet. He is attacked by the Deep State and media so one side hates him and the other side glorifies him and thinks of him as some martyr. It’s a great way to divide the whole country and prevent a real opposition threat. Therefore the population hates each other rather than it’s real oppressors.

Don’t worry, Trump is winning 2024. The government needs people to believe in their fake votes and if Trump loses again, people will say it was rigged again

No, he wanted to ban the groups entirely separately from the issue of protesting.

I agree outright banning is not cool but here are school guidelines.

I think we could all agree the larger the group the higher the likelihood of interfering with other students ability to learn, access public facilities, be free from harassment, or being loud so speakers cannot be heard.

I have no problem with an individual school setting their own guidelines, as long as those guidelines treat everybody equally.

The problem is when the governor steps in and tells ALL colleges in Florida (a state that is full of destination colleges for out of state and international students) how things have to go. Especially when that governor openly prioritizes one group of students over another, which DeSantis did.

I think we could all agree the larger the group the higher the likelihood of interfering with other students ability to learn, access public facilities, be free from harassment, or being loud so speakers cannot be heard.

Yes, I agree with you on that.

The polls currently have the election just about tied.

At the national level yes. The rule of thumb for this cycle is that Harris has to win nationally by about 3+ points to win the electoral college. Also those are public polls, the primary purpose of which is to influence people and raise funds.

Also, polls have error, and that error varies cycle to cycle. The error that we saw in the last bunch of polling data from 2 or 4 years ago could be completely different. What is useful though, is to watch the trends. All polls show movement toward Trump, and also several GOP Senate candidates.

Its very hard to believe that at this point, everyone does not know who they are voting for and if they are even voting. I saw one estimate that the "undecided" vote is about 0.04%. In other elections I would say sure, but this is not your normal election. Plus, a significant percentage of the electorate in the important states has voted already.

But anything can happen. All eyes will be on Pennsylvania and we may not see useful data from that state for at least 24 hours after the polls close and if its as close as people say, maybe as much as a week. Buckle up.

OK This isn't so much a negative Trump post for me or pro any one else post for that matter.

This is a ,, Is you really that stupid ? .. post.

Trumps rally tonight is in New York at MSG , he had a comic "warm up" the crowd for him .. now mind you this is NYC , home to the National Puerto Rican Day parade attended by over a million people every year.

Is this really the type of humor you want on display ? We can already see the fall out from it all over the place popping up.

I have to agree, that act was probably not the best idea. I didn't see it, so I have to ask... What other groups, if any, did the comic make fun of? I tend to doubt it was just PR.

Every four years, Americans are forced to choose between the lesser of two evils, because we have a two-party system that is not based on our constituion, and place our votes through a biased electoral college process that is. In 2016, I would have voted for anybody other than Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump was the alternative. This year, I would have voted for anybody other than Donald Trump, and Kamala Harris was the alternative. Perhaps I should have voted for Nobody:
