I really enjoyed the vip section(s) we had. I will say though the main board is off to a great start and if we can weed out the babyfood guys and
the negative smart asses we're in good shape. There are times though when a private inner circle is nice for certain discussion/topics.
When you go there you know you don't have eyes reading what you don't want to share with anyone but proven reliable brothers.
Anyway it goes i love this place. Vip would just be a cherry on top!

Is on that. Talk with k1 or tech.

I did hear mention a trade or xtra forum
Maybe is a go. It will be a select user group Only.
Instead of the old password forum.

Also in place is a board of directors, where selected
Core memebers will be able to weigh in and be
A part of some of the decision making.

It all takes a little time and member-owners effort.

Built what is an already great looking site!
It's still early on. Many changes and upgrades
Will happen over a years time.
Glad to see the main group back and voicing what

If I'm on to something, I would be more than happy to push for a password protected VIP area, even though the board is invite only. Maybe the old regulars will feel more comfortable to hang?

It will be slow either way but I don't think there's any doubt about that, Marshall. You're on point. Just have to keep the main board going and delete all of this though anyways.

I would make the whole board invite only and have it so each registration has to be approved with references or something. Plenty of us old regulars around would appreciate that and hang out. I know there is an option in the admin panel to admin approve reg's only. Something like that maybe? Unless you want to keep the whole forum open for anyone and have a section for vet's only? That's usually typical and would still work in my opinion.

Marshall, I think you are right on target with that VIP idea. Some of the older regulars might feel more comfortable behind closed doors so to speak

Ya, it's obviously not a volume board, but it just seems slower than normal. It shouldn't have taken that long to rebound with the regulars. I've noticed some of the guys from the old version of the UG that wanted the board to return, haven't came back to contribute. I'm thinking that may be the reason.

I'm only here to help do what I can, but I think perhaps more of an open registration and regular forum could work, just moderate it for trolls. Then keep a private, unseen, password protected VIP area for a select group of vets and even perhaps sponsors, with much tighter control on access, similar to the old UG setup.

I like that (old) set-up (w/ a group of vets). I enjoy the regular threads, although, it has been slow and my participation hasnt been "up" either...
