Today is the invitational portion. I watched a lot of yesterday stream at work when possible. Checked on it today to find out they are charging $10 to view the stream.
Will anyone be watching today? I'm enough of a nerd that I may pay the $10.

I won't pay the ten bucks. Epic weekend of lifting and all but still have a bad taste in my mouth from how it was ran last year. I hope they improved on how things were run such as

Having spotters who know that they are doing
Having proper equipment
Having enough plates to warm up
Having chalk
Perhaps some air conditioning
Not putting Sparkle in charge of anything
Having people run the table who know wtf they are doing

I could go on for a while with this...

A link to day 1 if yer interested...

I watched day one live. It seemed to be run very smooth. Two platforms going at the same time, cameras changing back and forth. It made for a good watch with back to back lifting with almost zero wait time.

HOLY ****!
I'm pretty sure Tee Cummins knee just exploded. I really hope he's ok... I hate to see something like that happen.

Found some videos on IG.
Rubish squatted 732 with ease on his opener.
Kevin oak hit 835
Larry wheels hit 735
Greene hit 832 or something

That's all I've seen so far on ig

I just saw the video of tee Cummins knee popping on his squat. And they didn't have safety chains or harness or whatever so the bar stapled his neck pretty much against the floor. No spotters are that quick to catch that. Poor guy. They said he benched after too. What a horse.

This is why I stick with RPS. If you wanna walk it out go ahead. But for ****s sake those straps are a lifesaver. Trust me I been there once.

With this and the recent shit show in the IPF, I can't believe safeties aren't a requirement now. Granted it will take a little longer to set up for each individual lifter but it's better than having your lifters turn into paraplegics.

They all should have safety chains. These spotters can't stop 800 plus pounds when something happens that fast. And the spotters can get fukked up too with that weight falling that fast. It should be a requirement.

Not to mention these spotter I saw in the IPF were 130 pounds each spotting a 850 pound squat
