Just a thread of things you enjoy from that era. I know a lot of us grew up, or were impressionable kids, so it holds some near and dear memories. One of the strongest ones for me was the NFL and NFL Films (Game of the Week and This is the NFL).

RIP Steve Sabol. None of that would have been possible without the vision of him and his father. My love of football was from that era. The unmanicured fields that were susceptible to the weather conditions, the dirty uniforms, players that seemed real for some reason when compared to today's media hyped guys.

Bert Jones, as Bill Belichik stated, the best pure passer he's ever seen.

I remember watching this game to see if Payton could get the record.

Couple more photos from the world of baseball. The old mustard 'n mud the Padres wore in the early 70's, couple of more Pirates combinations and the old Braves softball style uniforms, which would've been forgotten forever if it weren't for Hank's #715 coming with it on.

Bucs wore the throwbacks this past Sunday. Still my favorite NFL uniform of all-time.

I was only 6 in 1980. So I don't remember most of these.

Ya, sometimes I think it's what you grew up with, but not necessarily. For instance I like the "new old" Jets and Giants uniforms of the 60's. Same with the Redskins bringing back the gold pants this year for home and road. I don't think uniforms came into fashion so to speak until the late 60's.
