So recently i was diagnosed with heel spurs that the dr said were caused by overdefined calves. This in turn makes my Achilles tendon tight and causes it to rub the bone and develope the spurs. I recently went and got some custom orthotics and they helped a great bit. I am one of the freaky people in that leg day is my favorite. My dr expressed quite a bit of concern over the tightness of the tendon and mentioned it would be very easy for me to rupture them. Any of y'all have similar issues and other than the most obvious stretches what are some other things y'all think can be done to help? I've been looking at things like sleeves coupled with a salve so as to give the area some warmth and keep things loose and relaxed.
