Been following threads here for a short while. I have been on and off health-wise for a few years. Finally back in the gym 3-4x/week. It's always a mental game, but when I recognize my head is straight and priorities in line I take the plunge. Aiming to get strong and enjoy the mass that I WANT to come with it. 28yo/5'7"/178lbs. Still trying to figure out an appropriate goal with regard to weight and diet. But I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from here and all other sources. Thanks everyone.

It is difficult to stay consistent day after day, week after week, month after month, and yes, year after year. Life will challege that effort time and time again. Just keep doing your best and don't give up. Welcome to the board.

Welcome aboard!

Just enjoy the time in the gym and the way your body is changing and you'll have no problem staying with it for years to come.

Welcome. Make your gym time fit around your other life responsibilities and it will, over time, be a part of your lifestyle. Don't worry about changing up everything at once or you might be less likely to stick with it.
