I'm needing to get to 250 in 2 months. So, I'm been researching a lot and wanted to know thoughts from everyone here because obviously you've actually done it.

Here is the link to the full article: http://www.stack.com/a/how-much-cardio-should-you-do

That isn't going to help you drop 60 pounds in 2 months.

Also, "eat too little and your metabolism slows" makes me think the author is a clueless idiot.
Your metabolism is going to slow down when your in a deficit regardless, the % deficit makes zero difference if the % body fat goal is the same. So if you want to drop down to 10%bf, the size of the deficit used/the time frame taken to get there makes little difference to the level of metabolic slowdown. In fact, I could easily make a case for a smaller deficit being potentially more detrimental for certain people. Easily.

Just some quick dirty math but that's a pound a day. 3,500 cal deficit per day and that's just the math. I couldn't guess what that will do you your body and mind. Like Bundy said, go it right and take a year. You may be able to peal some quick weight off but 90% of the work is in the last 10%. Shit's going to get nasty after you get half way on that.

You are looking for a sustainable weight or is this for something special?

Even if you survived a 3500 calorie a day deficit, which you won't, I'm gonna guess you'll gain it all back and them some in 30 days. Plus, I would think your metabolism and hormone levels are all going to be sh1t.

I'm changing careers and furthering myself flight qualifications to a commercial pilot rating. However, there are weight limits. The training is 9 months long, so I need to start sooner than later. Apparently 250 lbs is there redlines for acceptance.

I was thinking of splitting the calories in half. 1750 diet cut and 1750 gym burn/after burn.

Seem reasonable?

Reminds me of a letter someone wrote into Vince Gironda when he was writing in Muscle Mag. The letter asked Vince how to lose 30 lbs without dieting and exercise. I know you're asking to lose 60 lbs in 30 days, but I think the advice is probably the same. Cut off your f'ing head!

Certainly not suggesting you do that, but it illustrates that it would take something VERY drastic. My advice would be to have patience. It probably took you years to put on an extra 60. It may take you at least a year to take it off.

On a side note, I've heard title boxing advertise that you can burn up to 1,000 a hour at their place. So if each pound of fat has 3,500 calories, you need to burn 210,000 calories to lose 60 lbs. That's just 210 hours!
