At the top level of that sport it boils down to 2 knowns; you're your own business and they are their own business. It's been a dirty sport since it's inception.

I'm sure there's some B.S. that goes on with judging in PL'ing but the bottom line is, did you lift more? It's easy to see if someone got screwed on a squat height but there are 3 attempts, 3 judges and 3 different events. Hell on Deads, assuming there's no call on a hitch, you either did it or you didn't.

I figure that. You get caught up in it. You win a big show, they blow you up and set you up to lose against their guy. Been there done that. They match you up with one of their guy smaller and not as tight and give him first place overall, then dude wins Nationals that year.
