Any and all recommendations appreciated.
Seems like I can never figure out what kind of bench routine to do,and then when I get to gym I just make something up. My partner I lift with is same way and it seems like all he wants to do is max every other week. He lifts less than me so usually I do what he lifts just more reps.
If I could get some help I would appreciate it.
I don’t get wrapped up in maxing or anything and don’t really know what my max is. Goal is just to get stronger and bigger
I did chest this evening and my bench went like this.
Bar 10 reps
135lb 8 reps
185lb 8 reps
225lb 5 reps
245lb 5 reps
275lb 5 reps
295lb 2 reps
315lb 2 reps. Actually tried 3 but couldn’t get it.
As you can see there’s no rhyme or reason to my bench. If you need a max to give me some percentages for the workout it’s just a guess but I’d say I could max 325?
