    1. Connect to your mail using a vpn plus tor.
    2. Figure out what countries your activities would be considered legal in. This decreases the chances of the said country cooperating. Sign up for email accounts in those countries.
    3. Use multiple secure emails, not just one for everything. Divide your risk. Also if your source uses countermail then also use countermail as that email never hits the internet. It stays on the said companies servers.
    4. Use either assymetric or symmetric encryption. I'm not sure if there are any options that still exist that allow you to do both. Years ago you could do PGP on your own and then do something like blowfish or twofish on the email server. It was pretty cool because you could use multiple private keys, ie different key for each email address.

There is a ton of other stuff you can do, but if you're trying to stay secure online the above should do the trick for email security. Is there anything I missed? It's been a while. Email security is just one part of your overall security strategy.

None. If people know this stuff it cuts down on the busts. Anyone remember the hushmail debacle? I was never a fan of a email service doing the encryption and decryption and having my private key. I thought that was one of the stupidest ideas ever. Hushmail may have been the first but it won't be the last. People need to understand why different services cooperate. I agree reading this shit is boring as ****. We had a spreadsheet years ago.
