Your emails can be read by hotmail, also they will likely allow LE to look at your emails as well.....

Get a protonmail.ch account

Cool thanks, I mean how would they suspect to go through my email? And would LE even be interested in my 5 vials very few months?

What brand of foil is best to wear on your head to prevent the government from listening to your mind?

countermail, ananymousspeech, protonmail are good ones. if you're really worried about LE tracking you on this site, get a proxy server.

No emails are anonymous. You should be safe using a secure website for the average joe. Ask Edward Snowden. Internet was not design to be anonymous. Even the free sites have to make money and guess how they do that???? Nothing wrong with taking measure. It's like when your young, playing boogie man and covering your eyes thinking no one will find you.

Just a tip for the new guy

Never underestimate how badly your government would love to incarcerate you.

And never justify sloppy behavior while committing a crime. Especially not to cover laziness.

As a few posts have implied - there is no such thing as a truly safe email. The Internet in general was entirely built around the concept of transparency. The whole idea of "anonymous" hackers and internet facelessness came later. The originators imagined that the internet would primarily be used to exchange information and scientific data with a network of a few thousand people at most who would pretty much all know each other. At least that was internet 1.0. This allowed hacking, spam, viruses and other things to proliferate.
Basically there's really no such thing as completely safe or anonymous.

Luckily, there is so freaking much data flowing constantly that LE doesn't have the resources to track everyone. Just folks they identify they want to track.
So as long as you're not uploading kiddie porn, selling weapons, engaging in human trafficking, or involve yourself in terrorist cells, you're probably fine. Probably.

Steps to mitigate your risk somewhat:
- regularly unplug and restart your router
- regularly clear cookies...or just use TOR
- get a vpn if it makes you feel better
- use a completely separate email and browser to do anything you're not supposed to
- never even open emails that you were not expecting to receive. Especially if they're sent to your naughty email address
- regularly delete your naughty email and create a new one
- encrypt your machine

If you want to be extra paranoid:
- get a burner phone or computer. Only do naughty things there. Regularly wipe it.
- install an operating system on a flash drive and only conduct naughty business through the flash drive on a burner machine via a VPN

This could go on ad absurdum...your choice at where to draw the line

Depends on what you mean by secure. Everyone suggested proton mail, but proton is not open source.

If you truly want anonymity, google "Tails OS" and use Tutanota.

1. Connect to your mail using a vpn plus tor.
2. Figure out what countries your activities would be considered legal in. This decreases the chances of the said country cooperating. Sign up for email accounts in those countries.
3. Use multiple secure emails, not just one for everything. Divide your risk. Also if your source uses countermail then also use countermail as that email never hits the internet. It stays on the said companies servers.
4. Use either assymetric or symmetric encryption. I'm not sure if there are any options that still exist that allow you to do both. Years ago you could do PGP on your own and then do something like blowfish or twofish on the email server. It was pretty cool because you could use multiple private keys, ie different key for each email address.

There is a ton of other stuff you can do, but if you're trying to stay secure online the above should do the trick for email security. Is there anything I missed? It's been a while. Email security is just one part of your overall security strategy.
