Mrrippedzilla's HIIRT Programme

1x8RM
Rest 20-30 secs
1X2-3 reps
Rest 20-30secs
1x2-3 reps
Rest 20-30 secs
1x2-3 reps
Rest 2-3 minutes

That is 1 total set using the SAME weight throughout (your 8RM).

You will do:
- 3 total sets for legs
- 2 total sets for chest
- 2 total sets for back
An overall total of 7 rest-pause sets on 3 exercises - 1 for legs, 1 for chest & 1 for back.

Working from Mrrippedzilla's HIRT programme...

Would an additional 1-2 set(s) for biceps/triceps/shoulders/calves be productive (strength & hypertrophy)?

Keep in mind that HIIRT was designed to eliminate the need for HIIT cardio, which it does. It's about adding a fat burning component to resistance training by drastically increasing REE post-session. As a result, it's only meant to be done 1-2xweek - not as your full on training regime.

To answer your question, yes, you can add isolation work after the workout/on another training day. Provided it's not before/intertwined within the setup itself :)

Giving this a try - looks like fun. Good on ya, Zilla.

Kinda like cluster sets in powerlifting and they're always fun to do
