Donating every 2 months to the red cross isn't really phlebotomizing and isn't bad for you. May as well do it. Your RBC's are back where they were in a few months.

Polycythemia (sp?) patients can have blood drawn more then 3 times a week when first diagnosed before they get it under control. I know someone with the actual disease. It's a shitty disease to have.

Maybe having high RBC's from test isn't bad, but having normal RBC's isn't bad either if you don't live at altitude or have COPD lol.
