Fake speach when voice inflection goes wrong

Voice inflection is a technique used by public speakers, actors, salesmen, politicians, DJs, News Anchors etc. Its an art and practiced to perfection. Its everywhere. There is a more subtle part of voice inflection and it is designed to give the audience the impression that the speaker is going off script and pausing while stuttering ever so slightly. Giving the impression of sincerity and knowledge and care in what they are saying.

Reagan and Obama were the best Ive ever seen with it each with a different style but very effective in the delivery.

Max Kellerman was the best sports caster at it back when he only did boxing and it served him well being a young guy that never boxed in his life but debating boxing historians. Larry Merchant did it but he was mostly drunk.

Some random examples attributed to no one in particular:
"the, the, the the idea of education...."
"we, we, we have to be careful here.."
"I'm I'm I'm not ready to say one way or another"

    You get the idea.

Sports radio has run a muck with this crap and it has now become a technique for the person that is dying to speak next to get started stuttering before they even know what they have to say. Its pathetic and Im so ready for for for this shit to stop. Its like listening to SpongeBob and Patrick argue over who the Rockets are going to draft. It sucks because some of the analysts are very smart and I really want to hear what they have to say without being annoyed beyond belief.

God it was painful listening to that man!

I do like to hear a good speaker even if I do not agree with them. One thing I have learned about public speaking is you better know your topic. And if you are going to be attacked from all sides, you better know their angle too. Another thing, you get one fact wrong and your entire argument/presentation is shot.

Lately, I've noticed a trend with people (males and females) using a lot of vocal fry. Once you notice it it will drive you crazy.

I heard a Highway Patrol Spokeswoman this morning on the news talking about a person being fatally shot by a trooper in that same voice. Annoying as hell.

Ive come to take all politicians as being full of shit no matter how well they speak. But yeah Regan and Obama really had it down. I always thought Regan was on of the best speakers we have ever had as a president. That man had his shit together when he got in front of people to talk.

Thus proving both humans and monkeys can be great speakers.
What happens in "the real world" is much more important than what occurs in isolated, scientific trials when trying to make a "real world" application.
