Sunday wasnt focussed on what I was doing

drew a cc of tc300 & a cc of Npp150

Pulled out of the vial & measured the oil in the syringe

Forgot to flick and send it on up the needle

These bds have 1/8 to a 1/4 cc that never even gets out with a full plunge

So all that air got injected in my leg

So far so good though luckily

didnt dawn on me till i felt that easy pressure

Then realized that step was forgotten

Youre fine man, like has been said, the air would have to go through a vein, and it takes way more than what most people think to actually be harmful.

Honestly I've ran in an entire IV line of air in with a pressure bag with zero problems.

I inject about 0.1cc of air every time to make sure I get all the oil.

Thanks dudes

Had heard it wouldnt be a problem but had never done it

Now that i have and lived to tell it thought it'd be a good thread

Just as an fyi for ya zig, in school when we were being taught to give IM injections, we were actually taught to pull up a little air as well. I think the thinking behind it is that the air is the last thing to go in and it prevents any medication from coming back out of the injection site.

Probably has more to do with making sure that every last drop get where it needs to go. Without that bubble at the plunger end, there's always some left in the pin.

When you guys pin do you draw back after inserting or just push. Somewhere in my past I was told to always draw, then push?
