Yeah, I'm easing back into things. Before my wreck I was 6'4" and weighed around 250. Now I'm about 6'3" and weight around 200. I'm hoping that muscle memory will kick in and I can get back to my previous size soon.

Hey Dixie, did you have spinal cord damage? I have to take gabapentin or else I wouldn’t be able to touch my whole right leg, especially the foot.. I wouldn’t be able to use it Or touch it at all without..

I was taking it. I still have spots on both legs where I have no feeling whatsoever. I told them that I didn't want any pain meds because that is a slippery slope.

True it has some analgesic properties but mainly for nerve damage. However I say if you can get by without, do so. Even though it’s a non narcotic med, after log term use it, if ran out for extended period of time, one could have a seizure..
Unfortunately I’ll be on it most likely for the rest of my life..but I’d rather that than not able to walk.

But yes, I was doped up for a long time on pain pills just thrown at me from my docs.. I was even sent home with Naloxone injection kits in case of overdose. (Funny.. if I overdose how the fk could I inject myself?) so I ditched it cold turkey. Best decision of my life. Keep it up.
