What do you guys think is the easiest place to start from when you begin a cycle....which one will it be easier to end up with lean muscle mass?

1. Skinny with low body fat but also low muscle

2. Higher body fat but also more muscle underneath?

Just a random bored thought I had and was curious about. Lol

1.

If you're lean now and want to be lean later, that body type gives you the best shot at it.

personally would start at option 1

less negative sides if any at all

eating more is easier than eating less imo

both options arent good starting points though

The current shape of your body doesn't dictate future success. Your question is fundamentally flawed.

Just don't eat like a giant pig and train hard and you will gain muscle.

In theory, you could eat like a giant pig, as long as that giant pig eats a lot of protein along with everything else, and still gain muscle. No?

Even if you eat like a giant pig you will still gain muscle. What I am saying is he states "lean muscle mass" in his post. Rather than make fun of him by asking what fat muscle mass is, I figured I would just remind him that it's calories in calories out. Feel me bruh

Not the skinny option. I have started out both ways. Being a skinny hardhainer is a long road. After 20+ years of training I still believe in a Mass Phase first, then a cutting phase. Everytime I go through each phase I notice incredible changes in muscle maturity. That’s the cool part and one of the things that make bodybuilding so fun!
