How important is it for someone who blast and cruises on testosterone only to get
blood work for Lipids, liver and kidney?
Besides the importance of getting it as part of your yearly physical as everyone should but for someone just on testosterone is it critical to look at thing like liver and lipids?
From my understanding they shouldn’t affect it as much as orals.
plesse correct me if I’m wrong. And I’m not saying blood work isn’t important just curious how important the lipid panel and liver one is for someone just on test
I’m trying to prioritize my blood work but on a budget for the meantime so trying to pick which ones to get

Test will lower you good cholesterol and increase your bad. Just like every other aas (somebody correct me if there is something that doesn’t)

should have no effect of your liver values.

IMO if you blast and cruise you should check lipids more often than once annually. Usually both come standard on bloodwork so I’m not sure what you mean about prioritizing your BW.

I’m not sure usually my urologist asked me what I want and he checks each off on a box and sends me to the lab it doesn’t appear he uses like a panel like they do on private MD labs. Maybe cheaper to go to the female panel with privateMD

with test affecting the numbers on lipids I’ve heard both sides that’s it’s an accurate number but I’ve also heard that it elevates it regardless if your cardiovascular system is shit or not and for someone using test it may not be a good indicator for risk factors for heart disease because test will affect it no matter what, kind of like a case reading if you will. What’s your opinion on that?
ive been trying to read up on it but can’t find much. I’ve been blasting an cruising for a while and have been bad about getting lipids for 3 years so I already know the numbers are gonna be horrible but I wanna prepare myself at how much to take the lipid blood work into account

The advice I got when I first got into this is that getting lipids on cycle or trt is pointless because it’s gonna be elevated regardless abs it’ll be elevated from the cycle or trt and not by the condition of your cardiovascular system. But from what I’ve been reading that way of thinking is out date and dangerous so I’m gonna change my mindset on that and get some more bloods added in throughout the year in addition to my usual.

If your Dr asks what you want tested, go with EVERYTHING. It's not going to hurt to have more info.

Fair enough, I was thinking of insurance covering it. I personally get at least 2 per year. Yearly physical bloods covered by insurance, and additional as necessary, ie testing out new brand, mid year just to check, mid cycle to check out everything is ok, etc..

PrivateMDlabs gives me my CBC,CMP, total test up to 1,500 and my E2 for $58. Lipids I get 2x/year through my GP. As for it important, that's up to you and your level of comfort.

There anyway to stop that or is it just part of the game? Would taking a ccholesterol med during a blast help? Do they just return to normal when you stop it?? I will be blating and crusing in the near future so I am wondering about this myself.

Statins have a host of bad side effects. I don’t recommend Rx cholesterol meds unless absolutely necessary. Certainly not for a “blast only” usage.

The cholesterol thing is just part of the game. Usually bounces back a couple weeks post cycle. I don’t have a choice: I have to be on trt to have any type of quality of life.

Trt doses don’t significantly impact my lipids IME.

Make sure you are getting on your cardio and eating enough Omega fatty acids.

Trt is quality if life for me as well. Are fish oil good omega 3? I do eat salmon, but lots of protein shakes are how i get a good bit of my nutrition, there is chicken and rice and stuff, but i eat some junk. I was on a statin at one point lipitor i think. My doc took me off it because of liver enzymes? She said that going back to the gym and losing 80lbs probably helped. I wish i never took the 17 years away from the gym

Lipitor is some toxic shit that shows no statistical evidence of preventing heart attacks in people who have not already had a heart attack. If you need to lower cholesterol, the only way to do it for most people is by losing bodyfat. Americans are typically too lazy to do that so theyre the perfect sheep for drug scams like statin drugs.

Statins also lower testosterone, decrease vitamin D synthesis, and stress the liver so they often require other drugs (cialis, SSRI's, sleep aids, pain killers, etc) to deal with the side effects. It's a wonderfully evil scam. The idea that cholesterol even plays a role in heart attacks is up for serious debate at this point anyway. Something like 85 percent of people who have heart attacks have "good" cholesterol values.

There is a guy at my wharehouse whose total cholesterol is in the 900's. That's not a typo. His doctor said he had never seen that in his whole career. His HDL is in the teens. Hes not overweight and has an active job. Said his whole family is like that but no heart disease.

I was worried about liver issues if i eventually run dbol and was told that its not much worse than the lipitor i was running for a year. I have not heard many good things about it. Even my doctor said she gets people off it as soon as possible.
