Concerned about injection site

Slightly concerned about some pain in having at an injection site.

2 days ago I pinned 2ml with 1” 25g into my ventro glute. About 8 hours later I broke into a fever and body aches, felt like the flu and had some stomach pains. The next day the site was extremely painful and 2 days later the pain has not gotten better. The fever broke in the mid morning (about 12 hours after it set in) but still felt sick the rest of the day then I felt fine after that.

The site is very tender to the touch. Slightly swollen but not bad at all. There is no redness and it is not hot to the touch.

My gear is good as I use a reputable source. I’m thinking I just hit the spot wrong and coincidentally got a little virus the same day. I am a little concerned about an infection but everything I have learned is it would be red,hot and my fever would still be here if so. However I have never had an infection at the injection site.

I have had PIP this bad in the past only reason I am concerned this time due to the fever onsetting a few hours after the pin.

If the fever didn’t break I was planning on seeing a doctor later that day but now jay I feel fine I’m gonna wait to see if the pain subsides in 24 more hours

just wanted to seek some input on what y’all think based off what symptoms I’m having.

Not busting your balls Amigo but you seem to have a lot of problems. If memory serves, werent you the one that thought you were going to OD on Cialis LOL? If not then please accept my apologies.

Obviously not knowing all the details Id offer this:
You may need some antibiotics. When Ive had infections in the past my whole leg and hip would be fine but sore in the am but by afternoon swollen as fuk. I dont remember a fever beyond what I usually got with test. Went to my doc and was straight up with him about what happened. He prescribed me Amoxicillin horse pills as I recall. I havent had an infection since 06. I seriously had to slow down and be more careful about the essentials of injecting. Remember Cleanliness is next to Godliness. There are some very good posts about injections and hygiene on this board just search them out.

Let us know how it turns out?

My wrestling coach used to find guys loafing that "couldnt get off their backs" in a pin situation and take a big ass safety pin and stab us in the ass and thighs with it and watch us get the fuk up. It hurt days later so yes you can have pain from a needle being gouged in the wrong way gear or not. As for gear, some guys have a bad reaction and some gear is not good so the bad gear element to PIP that makes it worse than just a wound.

Really a topic for a separate thread as we dont want to crop dust this one.

As someone who unfortunately knows too well, if it’s an infection it will:

-hurt like hell
-be swollen
- appear red
- may or may not come with a fever

may not be infection

could just be a pin gone wrong. may have pinned too much in that area for the first time. could be red, swollen, hot for like 3 days, and come back down

i suggest ibuprofen for swelling, and ice. the "sick" like symptoms well, could be a virus or, just test flu. answer for that. OTC medicine.

My guess is you just got a stomach bug and it was coincidental timing with your pin. An infection that jacks up a fever would come later after it gets swollen and sore. DON'T HOLD ME TO THAT, JUST MY OPINION. Also if the site was infected, it wouldn't just get better in 2 days.

I think having the stomach bug pushed up your temp and that added to the swelling. I ran a fever once the day after I squatted and my knees felt like they got a baseball bat smashed across them. It wasn't damage to the knees but the normal post workout pain exacerbated by the joint swelling.

Or I could be wrong. Just another explanation

Lol the cialis was a unrelated incident where I had taken an extra pill because I had simply forgotten I had already took it. I have a hectic work schedule with minimal sleep at times so I think it’s resosnable to forget st time. Not sure how that relates to this issue. I have since placed my weekly cialis dose in a weekly pill box to avoid that issue lol. Yes that was a silly mistake but not one that really relates to this. But if you wanna think I have a trend of issues go ahead. Guess I’ll stop reaching out for help here.

Thanks guys ya I’m thinking it was just a pad pin and got some bad PIP and just happened to get a little bug the same time because I feel fine now. The PIP is still there 3 days later but not bad. Still minimal swelling, no discoloration.

It is 300mg/ml test e so pip is too be expected, I always get a little but not this bad. Just to be safe I’m about to call teledoc and get some antibiotics sent to my pharmacy
they are cheap anyway.

Test e 300mg/ml in ventro glutes and yes first pin out of the vial. I have been using ventro glutes for 2 months about no issues thus far with using them. Haven’t hit this side in two weeks. The test does have 1%BA so that’s not really high, if I’m not mistaken high BA% can cause some pip but from what I’ve read 1-2% is the Norm. Thinking I may have not hit the site in a good spot or maybe it crashed inside the muscle. Pretty positive it’s not an infection because I feel fine other than a sore hip but that’s part of it sometimes. I was just a bit worried because the fever was pretty intense and put me on my ass.

Thats what I’m thinking
but if y’all haven’t been able to tell I’m a high anxiety individual so if I get issues I always assume for they worst then usually it turns out to be nothing. I’m known to freak out over small stuff haha

folkstyle or Greco Roman?
i did folkstyle for years loved it never was big into the other styles although i wish I had. But down here the Schools only have folkstyle
