I'm a 40 year old Male that's 6'1", 250#, been back in working out for about a year. I'm looking to boost lean muscle mass, and help some of the challenges that you get from continued aging, as I work to hit my goals.

I have lost over 70#, and am looking to get to a point where I can do a competition. I spent a large majority of my life hiding from myself, and I want to be able to walk on stage and be proud.

My current regime is functional fitness (crossfit), 2 days per week, with steady state cardio and a Men's health type of 5 day, workout routine.

My ask for help is around developing the weekly workout that would help me achieve my goals, plus the same additional support that drives most people here.

I have done a few cycles when I was in baseball, earlier in life, but it has been a very long time, and I had a coach to help me then. I dont even know where to start now.

I know I'm a noob here, and I read the rules before posting, but if I slipped anywhere, my apologies.

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Welcome to UG! The guidance you're looking for has no canned answer so I would recommend starting a thread in the general chat or members on line journal. Post your workout there with your diet and goal. If you're comfortable doing so, you can post a pic or two.

Welcome. Lots of guys your/our age here. Are you on TRT? And if not, have you had a hormone panel done anytime recently?

I agree with silver if your looking to do body bodybuilding Then drop CrossFit, but any workout is fine if your just looking to drop fat as long as diet is on point that’s the main bing for loosing fat as you know! Congrats on the progress so far! You’ll find lots of help here

Welcome to the board. As Snake said, start a thread with workout, diet and goals and you will get plenty of feedback. If you are going to compete in BB, drop cross fit as stated. Good luck.
