Never heard of him before but that sucks.
Best wishes to his family.
He was a pretty well known prep coach. This is pretty crazy to read.
For everyone’s safety, I hope we eventually learn more about the heart issues that caused it. Genetic, AAS or both....
Sad to hear,
I wish doctors did more for us in the aas community.
what more can they do but control BP and lipids and tell you to stop?
i don’t have all the facts but just read the post of denial. The man had hypertension for years - most likely AAS is a big contributor to the high BP. The man started showing signs of heart failure at a young age - from chronic hypertension from AAS use. The man kept using AAS. I’m sure the Drs were telling him to stop. He didn’t. He died.
And let’s be honest - for the effects of BP to come out that young I doubt his high BP was 150/90. He was prob hanging around 170+/100+.
This is is a dangerous game with serious consequences if you don’t take care of yourself or disregard the warning signs of trouble ahead. When someone in the BB or strength community goes down, it’s like when a neighborhood junkie OD’s. The other junkies stick their collective heads in the sand and say “won’t happen to me”.
They can push hard to change the laws that are preventing research and break down the lies that are told (like roid rage) which keep steroids inappropriately scheduled or illegal.
It'd be nice if we could just go to doc's office and ask for test/,bloodwork we need w/o getting the run around or having to find alternative means of getting blood done that cost twice the amount.
I go to the doc and request bloodwork I need all the time.
