First post gear talk. :32 (7): Walk before you run, post some stats, and maybe some goals. Trust me, this is the best way to go about this.

I didnt start working out until my early 30s. I went pretty hard for a out six years. I started only benching 200, squat 265,deadlift 285. Got it up to 265 bench 405 deadlift and 315 on squat. First strained my hip flexor. Then rotator cuff. So I am just getting back. I'm 6 foot only 180.

Those are pretty low numbers to be wanting to start gear...in my opinion... you have a long way to go naturally before ever needing to touch the juice

Like Deadhead says, take the long hard road. You can achieve a lot more lifting and physique goals that way. You can evaluate your progress and achieve many milestones, learn what works and what doesn't for your body. Lots of trial and error but so worth it. Welcome to the UG.

DH is not trying to be nasty but speaks the truth. My son was pushing that total as a 6' 180 lb short distance runner. I tell you this not to belittle your numbers but get you to understand you can do a lot more if that hip and shoulder issue is behind you.

fyi: Early 30's is prime time for a PLer and you would be surprised what a natural PLer is doing at that age.

My diet is pretty clean very little sugar. Mostly lean meats.i have been out of the gym for 2 years do to a couple injury and a new kid. I am 6'1 180 so my stats very never that great definitely not a powerlifter. Last time my bench was 275, squat 315, dead lift 405. But it's been a while strained hip flexor and rotary cuff injuries.
