Patellar Tendonitis recovery

So i have definitely been dealing with some knee discomfort for about a week and finally come to the conclusion that it is patellar tendonitis.

the pain is just below the knee cap and pretty sure it started last week after doing heavy leg press sets.

I know i compromised my form and shifted weight from my heels to my toes during the press.

Anyone else had this? How long way recovery? Anything i can do to speed recovery?

this sucks because it is completely eliminating any lower body exercises i can do.

Are your legs/butt sore? Do you know what your IT band is? Foam roll the sh*t outta your IT band and see if your knee feels better

It is really isolated pain in the right knee. I havent tried foam rolling IT band, but definitely something i will start doing. Thanks for the feedback
