Hi all!I have always had hyper-mobile/hyper-extended joints and it never really was a problem until now. I've been exercising regularly for 2 years now, and stretching has always been painful, to the point where I just stopped (big, big mistake would say many).Of course, now my IT bands, glutes, quads and hale that hamstrings are tight af and give me extreme lower back pain (couple that with hips unbalance, one side compensating more than the other, I also have a very very bad tracking on both knees, currently working on that with a physio). My problem is, I am unable to stretch most of my muscles because my joints start hurting before I can get a slight stretch. An example of that is when I try to perform stretch (cant copy the link yet)
I was trying to stretch my left gluteus medius, and just couldn't, as my left knee started hurting. I didn't feel any stretch at all.Does anyone have the same kind of problem? and most importantly, how do you manage to stretch your muscles, having hypermobile joints? Thanks and have a great dayAnne
