So I’ve been doing these “on base” meets. Sometimes it’s a full meet and we get a pretty good turn out sometimes they’ll host bench only or today we had a deadlift only. It’s a mostly for fun kinda meet. But today I deadlifted 600lbs no straps just my belt and the singlet. I was pretty proud because with this meet and the other ones I’ve been to my total is up to 1600. Granted not all in one meet but I’m pretty confident I could. Not bad for 230lbs on the scale. my deadlift used to be my weakest lift and now it’s starting to pull ahead. I think I’ll be ready for a real meet soon.

600 lbs is a hell of a DL. Good for you, not a lot guys can say they pulled 600. Keep up the solid work.

Wow thanks for the support guys. I feel like I see guys on Instagram and YouTube pulling far more than I can. But I got inspired by watching a video on Konstantin Konstantinovs. When he did his raw lifts , no belt or anything, it inspired me. I watched a bunch of his stuff and developed a workout routine that I felt met his criteria for his training program. I put a solid 6 months into training deads 4 times a week. It worked though!
