as someone who trains working dogs and owns several its hard to read this... one reason why I always hated McCain, he pushed to have all MWDs euthanized as soon as their tours were complete. Total POS

I have trained working dogs myself. And to read that knowing how loyal the dogs are . And knowing how much the handlers in the services relied on and got attached to the dogs. It's crazy to think that the government just lets this happen

I remember when this was in the news.. I couldn't remember why they do that but thought it was a money thing. bullshit if you ask me .. Give them to a vet for ptsd support.

I also am a working dog owner, this article pisses me off to no end. These dogs have had some of the best training, why not put that to use somewhere...let their handler keep them, something, anything is better than sending them off to their death.
