My traps are lacking. I never hit them directly just with shoulder work or deadlifts. Will shrugs be enough to get them to grow? What do you guys recommend?

Whenever I do heavy farmer carries, my Traps feel pretty good.

Hard work attacking your traps and eating well, will make them grow. I don’t do shrugs but I do heavy dead’s and mix in some high volume face pulls and rear delt work. Mine grow fine.

I do feel them getting sore after heavy deadlifts but they still don’t seem to get any larger. I guess if I wanted them to grow more I would have to make them more of a focus.

ya you’re right at least until my grip gives out. I will have to incorporate these somewhere. They are good for core, shoulders, grip and traps.

I have to echo Tinymk... heavy deads are king... heavy dumbbell presses or Viking press puts on the mass as well. Ancillaries: face pulls at different angles, and I’ll add DB shrugs on occasion.
