Three Batter Minimum

I just found out about this today. MLB has a new rule starting this year that any pitcher that comes in must face at least three batters or finish the inning before leaving the game. This is going to be terrible at the end in big games. I don't like it at all.

IDK...i mean for the most part in the big games you have your closer come in and get the 3 outs, if they dont get the 3 outs...well they likely ended up losing. now for the middle of the game where you have a specialist come in for that single batter, better freaking hope that its 2-3 righties/lefties in a row they can face or just need 1 single out to end the inning. i think its a stupid rule, you're saving what... 5mins...time to run in from the bullpen and throw 8 pitches. its a long game and people know it...so whats 5 mins

It's retarded. What if you bring in a reliever and he gives up a double and a 2-run bomb that ties the game, you still have to let him face another hitter? Bullshit! How many new fans are going to flock to baseball because the game is 4 minutes shorter...none. It's ridiculous. No more left handed specialists coming out of the pen to get a big out late in the game.

exactly! only way that left handed specialist comes in is if he's going to be the 3rd out...but then if it doesnt happen... he's screwed. (somewhat...given hes a professional, should be able to handle regardless). 4mins...whoooopie! insane that they are going this route over a few minutes saved, yes its a long game but people know that. much rather watch a long MLB game than watch someone walk the course on golf all day, but thats just me. i got a better idea... 1 pitch - ball you take your base, strike you're out.
