Our kids have been home with us for weeks. Makes introvert lifestyle more difficult.

Typically I've been getting up around 6:30. Lately the little one has been rousing around the same time.

“Daddy? Daddy? Daddy?” As I’m trying to have quiet time and drink my coffee has not been working for me.

Starting the day with human interaction has never been my preference.

Leave me alone. In a quiet place. With a book and a black coffee.

So, I’m trying something new. Instead of hitting the gym when my kids are napping I am waking up at 4:30, having some quiet time and hitting the gym at 5:15.

Getting the kids out of bed at 7:30. That’s three full hours of nobody else but me time.

Anyway, gonna try this for a couple weeks and see if it’s a fit.

Yes, I am a fan of the early mornings too.

I like to get up between 4:00-5:00am, get my workout in before the family rises

I don't get shit done for the rest of the day, if I don't get that workout in :32 (9):

I am an early bird myself and absolutely cherish my morning alone time brother so I get it.
I need that time to sort my head and ease into the busy day.
if I had to go to bed earlier to get up earlier to keep my morning routine I would.

I’ve always been up by 4 am every day for 3 decades... no alarm needed. I don’t sleep well... an hour or two at a time at best. If I’m lucky, 30 hrs total a week. I feel like I’m missing out on life, it’s far too short.

I'm in bed by 7:15pm. And now that my sleeping is back on track, (Hopefully) I'm asleep between 730pm and 8pm. Up at 3 this morning which would be fine if I was working. And then my son woke up at 330am.. He will do a 530am wake up from time to time but, never 330. So. I don't get quiet time but, it's okay. He's not bugging me yet.

If I was working, i'm out the door just before 4am for my morning cardio. On my days off from work, it's like 430/5am. And then laundry at 6am.

Sleep is good. (In my Forest Gump Voice) And that's all I have to say about that.
