I’m looking at my previous bloodwork and the free testosterone normal range is 8.7-25.1 I got 20.7 pg/ml but when I look online at normal free test range it shows 47-293 pg/ml . Why are the normal range so different .

The 8.7-25.1 range is probably measured in ng/dL and the other in pg/ml?

Likely the 47-293 was in a different measurement or a different sensitivity?

Coincidentally I just got my results back today. First blood work since I started pinning 3 months ago vs 6 yrs of using gel. The range was listed as 47-244 pg/ml and I tested at 191. And that was a full 6 days after pinning just 50 mg of test cyp. In the 6 yrs on gel I never tested over 127 pg/ml while using that same range, in fact my last two results were 52.8 using a range of 46-224 and 58.6 using a range of 35-155. So I don't know if it's the injections causing the improvement or the fact I stopped drinking a 6 pack a day around the same time :^ / And I don't understand the differences in the ranges they use...I guess just different labs doing the testing?

Yeah, it’s been giving me a headache. Regardless of the test, those are some great improvements for you. Good job buddy. Did you get your shbg checked?

Probably not. It's kind of hit and miss what tests are ordered since I'm dealing with a GP which changes quite often. I'm thinking the excessive alcohol consumption likely affected SHBG in a negative way contributing to the low free T.

For sure it did. Glad you made some adjustments and improved . I changed my diet around and went from total test of 243 to 912 in a matter of a few months

No drugs. Just stopped being a fat slob and went on keto. All those healthy fats helped. I’ve now stopped keto and my total test was at 832. I want to take some test e eventually but I figure I’d ride out this natural spike. Being 37 I figure I’m pretty fortunate

Yeah, pretty much turned my whole life around. Wish I didn’t take this long to do it but I’m glad I did
