giving blood?

what does giving blood have to do with test levels in the blood? i have read several posts about donating blood while on cycle (recommending)

you donate when your rbc is high. and when your on gear your body will produce more red blood cells so its good to donate it when its high.

It's not so much about RBC. It's more with lowering your hematocrit numbers..

Yup i donate atleast once a month to keep hemocrit levels in check. Mine are on the high side even off cycle.

What are the hemocrits? sounds like an std. and what makes them get high? My last blood work showed them to be high.
