question for my wife about fat loss

i have never had a fat burning issue so this is one of the issues i know nothing about.
My wife is 40 and starting to pick up a few extra lbs nothing really but shes worried about it cause she needs to fit into her wedding dress in jan and shes 10 lbs heavier now.
I have her taking cla and fish oil but i know that doest do much. i dont want anything crazy she works out with me in the mornings 3 to 4 days a week for about 45 min and takes two walks totaling about 5 miles and yet she is still gaining a small amount of weight.
If there is anyone here thats wife has had this issue and you found something that works please let me know there are so many fat burning pills out there i dont know where to start.. thanks all

What's her diet look like and has she had her thyroid checked? This is most likely diet related though.

What's her easiest thing to fix, the low hanging fruit? Is it something like dessert "coffees" or snacking?

An example... For my wife, it was snacking before bed. Crap like PB&J sandwiches or ice cream. We tackled that my loading up her plate with extra veggies at dinner. Even had olive oil or butter on them. Those 100 or so extra Cals at dinner filled her up so much that she lost the desire for the 500+ calorie late night snack.

Also she simply started going for walks. She'd take the kids for long walks after dinner, and during her lunch break she'd also go for a walk. Just a general uptick in basic activity.

Lost an easy 10 lbs, she said that it was effortless, no cravings.

Oh, and no matter what advice you give her, you're always going to be an idiot and don't know what you're talking about. Accept it.

I think there must be some diet problem. You need to re-lookup her diet plan.
Maybe her calorie is more than consumption. She need to follow caloric deficit diet plan in order to lose some lbs.

Try to get her focused and disciplined with the basics, more water, less calories, move more. And be encouraging. Woman need support but not cheesy and fake.

Should maybe get her hormones checked. She is getting to that age may be pre-menopausal.

Drop the carbs, done deal. A women could loose 10lbs in water alone with carbs around 100g or so.

ikr she is never wrong...so i have her on a multi and fish oil..she wanted to try a fat burner and appetite suppressant so i got her hydroxy cut hardcore seems to have good ratings and it gave me energy back in the day. her diet is horrible and i dont even try with that but she has reduced the amount she eats.
she had surgery back in june and didnt get to work out for 8 weeks and has not been consistent since.
before the surgery she was going to the gym with me 5 days a week maybe 3 to 4 some weeks but always 3 and takes 2 walks every day like a 2 mile and a 1 mile.
So she started going back with me yesterday and went today to so we are off to a good start. she only has ten lbs to lose and she knows how i have made that know it all comes down to the diet . She only needs to lose ten lbs to fix in her wedding dress by jan. so i think shes properly motivated now...thanks for all the help
