    Pressure under the quadriceps tendon

If I sit with my left leg bent at my desk or while driving, after some time I will feel pressure building where the quadriceps tendon meets the patella.

When I straighten the leg it pops. It doesn't hurt. It's like when you crack your knuckles. My right leg did it today when I got up from my recliner.

I believe I've heard that when you crack your knuckles it because of gas in the joint. Is that true? Can the knee be the same way?

    Any ideas?

Pretty sure it's fluid in the knuckles not gas.

Some say nitrogen gas from neg pressure. Some say air in synovial fluid.
