Well I just got my final blood tests in for my post cycle check. These tests were done privately so no doctor involvement yet. I posted my other results in another thread but these were the ones I was most interested in seeing. The cycle was 20 weeks test cyp (with some prop substituted in in the middle 6 weeks) @ 600mg/wk which was upped by 100mg/wk the last 3 weeks, and deca @ 400mg/wk from week 6-20 which I upped to 500mg/wk the last 3 weeks. Here are the results with the ranges in parenthesis. My last cycle pins were on 10/19 and the blood was drawn on 10/26.
The previous results shown from 8/12/20 were at week 11 of the cycle, which up to that point had been 11 weeks of test and 5 weeks of deca.

WBC - 13.7 HIGH (3.8-10.8 thousand/uL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 10.1 which was elevated but within range
RBC - 6.23 HIGH (4.2-5.8 million/uL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 5.36 which was elevated but within range
Hemoglobin - 17.7 HIGH (13.2-17.1 g/dl) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 15.8 which was in range
Hematocrit - 53.9 HIGH (38.5-50 %) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 48.5 which was elevated but within range

Q - I'm assuming the above being elevated is fairly normal post cycle and should recede on their own??? I know steroids/testosterone can raise RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit levels but hadn't heard anything re: WBC. But evidently corticosteroids can affect WBC so I can I assume anabolic steroids could likely be the cause there also?

MCV - 86.5 Normal (80-100 fL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 90.5 which was in range
MCH - 28.4 Normal (27-33 pg) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 29.5 which was in range
MCHC - 32.8 Normal (32-36 g/dL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 32.6 which was in range
RDW - 13.6 Normal (11-15 %) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 12.7 which was in range
Platelets - 346 Normal (140-400 thousand/uL - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 337 which was in range
MPV - 10.1 Normal (7.5-12.5 fL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 9.9 which was in range

The following tests are concerning to me but I haven't read anything about these in regards to steroid use but maybe someone can enlighten me.

Absolute Neutrophils - 9974 HIGH (1500-7800 cells/uL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 6151 which was in range
Absolute Lymphocytes - 2124 Normal (850-3900 cells/uL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 2262 which was in range
Absolute Monocytes - 1219 HIGH (200-950 cells/uL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 936 which was elevated but within range
Absolute Eocinophils - 274 Normal (15-500 cells/uL) - interestingly the previous result from 8/12/20 was 636 which was quite hi. Evidently inflammation can be a cause and at the time I had been pinning test prop and getting major PIP
Absolute Basophils - 110 Normal (0-200 cells/uL) - the previous result from 8/12/20 was 111 which was in range.

So the high Absolute Neutrophils can evidently be caused by "some medications", corticosteroids, epinephrine and physical/emotional stress among other more serious thing like cancer. And Monocytes can also be affected by exercise and stress, or your body trying to 'fight' something so maybe introducing foreign substances could cause that elevation?

So I'm assuming steroids combined with the physical stress from extreme training (esp for my age) and inflammation I already have from arthritis could very likely be the cause.
What is slightly disturbing to me is that my Mom had a form of leukemia and some of these elevated blood counts like WBC and the neutrophils and monocytes can be a sign but the fact that they come at the end of a pretty lengthy cycle make that the more likely cause I think. I just don't want to freak out and run to the doctor so my thought process is to just wait another month or so and retake bloods. Thoughts?

You have enough things out that I would recommend getting some additional BW in 2 months. My guess is your doctor would recommend additional testing at 3 months if he saw this. By themselves, you can explain away each one but there's enough in combination to show concern. Some of those things you popped high on I have never had out of range.

EDIT: something else I stupidly hadn't thought of is that I've had several cortisone injections and they can have an effect on blood counts. My last 3 were Sep 1, Sep 30 and Oct 26 which was about an hour before I had that blood draw :^ / Not that this explains everything, just an observation. I'll still follow up. Already bought the tests from Quest.

FYI, I would not consider this POST cycle bloodwork. It had only been 7 days since your last injection of Test and Deca, so you were still at right about your high point for the entire cycle.

Run another round of bloodwork in a month or so.

What CJ said above plus this. I look at lab work every day for my work. Elevated WBC, your neutrophils and monocytes are generally indicative of an infection or inflammatory process. Everybody on AAS so quick to blame it on the AAS, when in fact that may not be the case. Not to alarm you but if your white cell counts remain like that you would be wise to talk to your doc about it rather than rely on armchair physicians on a forum. Those red counts (RBC, Hg/Hct) should be returned to normal in a month and those numbers aren't particularly concerning now.

Oh I definitely wasn't taking the WBC and the neutrophils/monocytes lightly and I'm certainly not relying on advice here. All I did was post the results to see if it was normal. I do have a ton of inflammation though due to osteoarthritis in about every joint, and I have been taking cortisone injections, in fact one the morning before I had the blood draw so I'm hoping that could be part of the cause. But I am absolutely going to monitor closely and would not hesitate to see the doc.
