What are some of the exercises you incorporate into your workout to keep the muscles confused?

Muscles don't get confused. All they can do is contract.

If progress stalls on an exercise, try a different rep range or exercise order. If they exercise truly doesn't work for you, rotate it out

I get real psyched up for some heavy squats.

Then I skip squats.

Very confusing for the legs. Grow like weeds.
This, except instead skipping squats I just don't lift at all.

Full body muscle confusion= incredible gains.

ummm excuse me sir. P90X would disagree with you. Tony Horton is ripped at 65 due to muscle confusion. And he can climb two ropes at one time

maybe if you ate keto and confused your muscles you could as well

to add a little to cj's post which is spot on, what people should really mean with "muscle confusion" is that the muscles need a new stimulus in order to adapt and grow, you can't squat 315 pounds for 10 reps forever and expect your muscles to keep growing. you have to provide them with new stimulus by doing things like either adding weight to the bar or adding reps over time. by constantly changing exercises and or rep schemes you cant track as efficiently if you actually are causing more tension within the muscles overtime
