End of the heats, unfortunately because day 1 got pushed forward a day, these beasts have no day off between the heats and finals.

Been keeping up with it via Martins and the Stoltman's on YouTube - I'm thinking Shaw takes it this year without Martins, Mateusz, or Thor competing. Would like to see Tom Stoltman win though - the brothers have put in a ton of work to get to the level they are at.

All I can find is teaser clips, they're doing really good keeping the filming of events hush hush.
Day 1 Finals, event 1, Medley:
1st - Adam Bishop
2nd - Oleksii Novikov
3rd - Jerry Pritchett
4th - Kevin Faires
5th - Tom Stoltman
6th - JF Caron (wtf)
7th - Brian Shaw (wtf)
8th - Aivars Smaukstelis
9th - Luke Richardson
10th - Graham Hicks (out with torn bicep, bummer)

2nd event, 18" deadlift:
1st - Oleskii Novikov 537.5kg (world record)
2nd - Adam Bishop 509kg
3rd - Jerry Pritchett 509kg
4th - JF Caron 509kg
5th - Tom Stoltman 470kg
6th - Brian Shaw 470kg (interesting)
7th - Kevin Faires 440kg
8th - Aivars Smaukstelis 400kg
9th - Luke Richardson 400kg

Those placings in that last event are conducive to their actual placings except Brian Shaw is actually in 7th overall.
Very surprised at how things are turning out, and looks like Brians chance of wining his 5th WSM is pretty much out the window.

I am happy Jerry is presently in 2nd. I know him and we competed together in the World Cup years back. USA should have him on the podium

Apparently the list i saw wasn't updated yet...
Current standings:
Novikov 40pts
Pritchett 36pts
Caron 34pts
Stoltman 33.5pts
Bishop 29pts

Novikov just needs to get top 6 in Stones for the win, game over.

1 event left... Stones.
I have Stoltman winning that event, which should put him in front of Caron... we shall see

Novikov for the W!
Incredible, dude has made so much improvement so fast, I think he ties Sigmasson as youngest man to win the WSM.
Waiting on the rest of the results...
