46 years old here. I started lifting weight only 10 years ago as part of running program. Only really started to focus on strength training 6years back (long distance running just takes too much time).

I was unable to progress much until a year back - while watching a documentary about low testosterone amongst males made me wondered if I was low in T. Got checked and my T was just around 190ng/dL. In my country - I can only get Nebido and that’s what I got on. And really got into a strength program.

Even then - at end of each 8 weeks period (min the doctor was willing to do) - my level still was at 300ng/dL or so. However I am still happy as I felt better and my lifts have improved tremendously. Recently 195kg for deadlift and squat (bw 110kg) were the best I ever done. And dropped 2-3 inches in the waist as well.

Hope to learn more about all aspects of training.
