I have been using Body Fortress protein for some time now. Labdoor gave it a poor rating on the actual protein. Seems 2 scoops that the company says is 60g of protein is only about 40g. I don't want to be consuming 400 cals from a drink that only yields 40g of protein.

Anyone have a recommendation for a high protein/ low cal protein drink? Not looking to break the bank and really don't care about taste.

Now Sports Whey Protein Isolate.

It's over 99% Whey Protein Isolate, and <1% sunflower lecithin (prevents caking).

Tastes like wet cardboard though. I mix mine with Gatorade powder for flavor and desired carbs.

Through Amazon a 5 lbs tub (81 servings) is about $50. It's 25g Protein per serving. 110 Cals per serving, <1 g of Carbs and Fat per serving.

Some here have said that it gives them gas, for me it does not.

I've been using NutraOne by ProteinOne. Lower carb and even tastes great. Been looking at Axe and Sledge as well as NutraBio. I know the NutraBio is highly rated

I am with Creekrat. We use NutraOne.. solid protein intake and I have no idea what it costs but I like it. We use 3 tubs a month between the wife and I.

I don't use a ton of protein powder like I used to, mainly whole food sources, occasionally just drink the 16oz carton of egg whites mixed with a splash of sugar free creamer. 260cals 3g Fat, 5.5g Carbs, and 52g Protein

I do buy the premier rtd's from costco when they go on sale. On sale it's usually like 18rtd's for $19. They tend to taste better than most powders. They're usually 155cals 3g Fat, 2g netCarbs, 30g Protein. Banana's and Cream, Peaches and Cream, and Café Latte are all on point, that last one has like 100mg of pick me up caffeine in it as well.

Did some digging. Naked Protein was a little pricey. The Isopure looks good and have a nice reputation. Bodytech isn't a bad price but you need to go for the 50% off the second one to make it cost effective. Now sport seems good too but the NutraOne seems to edge it out only for the taste. Either way I go, all good suggestion from my brothers. Probably can't go wrong with any of them from what I'm reading. Thanks men!

I believe dymatize is still a pretty solid brand. Not expensive, but not as cheap as body fortress.

I get the Nutricost Micellar Casein from Amazon for nighttime use. The 5 lb jug is $49.45 using Subscribe and Save, so slightly less than $10/lb. 110 cal, 3 gm carbs, .5 gm fat and 24 gm of protein per scoop. For pre/post workout I use MusclePharm Combat 100% Whey (Isolate/Concentrate) , 5 lb on Subscribe and Save for $43.21, 120 cal, 1 gm fat, 2 gm carbs and 25 gm protein per one scoop. That comes to just around $8.50/lb.

Don't forget you need some source of carbs to transport the protein to the muscle!!!

Muscle Feast Whey Isolate is good. I have used their grass fed version for years. Digests well, lots of flavors, although I only really use Chocolate and Unflavored. Top ratings on Labdoor. They have a lot of different blends as well. There are a bunch that have already been mentioned that are good too. Like you said, can't really go wrong.

I've been using Isopure for years and LOVE IT!! No gas or bloating, plus the flavors aren't bad tasting but for me it's the Vanilla Salted Caramel I'm partial to. It's a little pricey ... I buy mine at Vitamin shoppe (45 bucks each) but if you buy 3 at one time they come out to 37-38 bucks each as they have discounts all the time.

Any chance you can produce some data on that? I'm not so smart, but I can put the pieces together. Per that statement, if I eat an entire chicken breast (60g of protein) and I do not consume any carbs, which is possible on some hard diets I have been on, my body will not reap the 60g of protein?

That statement also flies in the face of other guys who have done well on the Keto Diets.

Educate me.
