Hello brothers and sisters. So I went to the doc awhile back and did all my bloodwork and says I have Latent Tuberculosis. So I started treatment 3 weeks ago and have 4 months of it minimum. Lost 26lbs the first 2 weeks, but jumped back on creatine and mk677(30mg) and am back to 237lbs.
Force feed myself 8 times a day and still hit gym 6 times a week. Just wondering if anyone has went through this and knows any tricks? Got out of prison almost a year ago and I was negative for TB and everyone wears masks so no clue where the hell it came from. Everyone worried about covid and I got it's big angry brother. Lmao. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Much love and respect

Deadlifter... I'm not contagious since it is Latent TB infection. Also people that have active TB arent contagious after 2 weeks of treatment

I didn’t even realize this was a thing. Great. One more thing to worry about. Hope all’s well my friend. Welcome to UG. Hope you stick around. No pun intended.
pretty impressive that you kept training through all of that. I’m pretty sure I’d have had some bs excuse most days. Proud of you man. That’s a pretty big deal.
keep it up man. If that won’t keep you down, I doubt much will. Hang onto that.

2 months into treatment and other than tiredness all the time I'm doing good. Weights up to 242lbs. Getting back to normal. Just keeping yall posted. Do bloodwork in 10 days to see if these meds are wreakin havoc on the liver like they day they will. I take 2g tudca and 3g NAC daily so hoping that helps.

Used to get tested like every 6 months for TB as Marine. Only knew one person that got it. It’s a long road to recovery. Like a year or something

our biggest worry about it was not being able to drink for a year. That’s the thought process of a 20 year old I suppose. Glad to hear that you’re doing well

Update... 5-1/2 weeks of treatment left. Blew the docs mind that all my blood work is better this far into treatment than it was before. Been having some heart palpitations so I stopped the MK677 just in case it was due to water retention. Weight hovering at 243lbs. Wearing a stick on heart monitor called a Zio XT for 7 days. Still pushing weight, eating right Nd working 50hrs a week. Just keep pushing brothers and sister. Much Love & Respect
