I tend to agree so I did some quick research and thought it would be neat to share.
Turns out, they're made by two different companies so what you get varies depending on where you live. The distribution map doesn't even make sense logistically, it's so weird.

i buy a case of thin mints every year and throw them in the freezer, then this year got o lemon things, kinda gross and some other french toasty type ones and they were grody as well
